Sewerage Treatment Plant at Bhadreswar Town Location : Bhadreswar Town. Objective : Nearly 1.0 lakhs population will be benefited with the reduction of pollution by implementation of this project Sewerage and Drainage Projects of Kolkata (cluster) Location : Different areas within the limit of Kolkata Corporation. Objective : Provision of underground sewerage and drainage to augment capacity of both the facilities and also sewering the unsewered areas. Completion cost : Rs 393 lakhs. Removal of Waterlogging in Kolkata City System Location : Localities bounded by Circular Canal (part) on the north, AJC Bose Road on the south, APC Roy Road on the east and River Hoogly on the west. Objective : Drainage of storm overload through a series of trunk drains and relief sewers, with a view to reducing the extent of waterlogging. Completion cost : Rs 796 lakhs. Removal of Waterlogging in Suburban System Location : South of AJC Bose Road, east of Tolly's Nullah and west of Eastern Railway lines. Objective : Removal of inadequacy in storm water drainage in the command areas through construction of trunk drains, branches and laterals, discharging into Tolly's Nullah and Bullygunge Drainage Pumping Station. Completion cost : Rs 269 lakhs. Maniktala Sewerage and Drainage Project Location : Kolkata city ward nos. 13, 14, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34 and 35. Objective : Improvement in removal of waste water and storm water through laying of separate sewerage and drainage conduits. Completion cost : Rs 451 lakhs. Cossipore-Chitpur Drainage Location : Cossipore and Chitpur areas of CMC. Objective : Removal of drainage congestion. Completion cost : Rs 151 lakh. Improvement of Ballygunge and Palmerbazar Drainage Pumping Stations Location : Two pumping station sites on the eastern fringe of Kolkata city. Objective : Reduction of waterlogging in Kolkata city through augmentation of pumping capacities. Completion cost : Rs 166 lakhs. Tollygunge Sewerage and Drainage Location : The rapidly growing Tollygunge area in the southern fringe of Kolkata. Objective : Provision of separate underground sewerage and drainage facilities with a view to preventing public health disaster in the densely populated area. Completion cost : Rs 1,013 lakhs. North-East Tollygunge Drainage Project Location : Areas bounded by Eastern Railway track on the southwest, Panchannagram embankment on the west, and Kolkata storm water channel on the north. Objective : Quicker disposal of storm water in the command areas through laying of underground conduits of about 30 miles, with appurtenances including catch drains. Completion cost : Rs 452 lakhs. Kolkata Sewer Cleansing Location : Different parts of Kolkata city. Objective : Restoration of carrying capacity of the underground sewers through removal of silts from drains so as to reduce water logging. Completion cost : Rs 129 lakhs. Dum Dum Zone Sewerage & Drainage Project Location : Cossipore-Chitpur, Baranagar-Kamarhati and Dum Dum Municipal areas, including both North and South Dum Dum. Objective : Provision of underground sewerage through laying of trunk sewers and appurtenances. Completion cost : Rs 72 lakhs. Baranagar-Kamarhati Drainage Location : Areas under Baranagar and Kamarhati Municipalities and northern portion of Cossipore-Chitpur area of Kolkata Corporation. Objective : Provision of comprehensive drainage facilities covering an area of about 6 sq. miles, through laying of underground conduits, as well as construction of pumping station. Completion cost : Rs 455 lakhs. Chandannagar Zone Sewerage Project Location : Municipal areas of Chandannagar, Bhadreswar, Champdani, Hoogly-Chinsurah and adjoining rural areas. Objective : Provision of underground sewerage through laying of underground trunk conduits, intermediate and main pumping stations and treatment plant. Completion cost : Rs 285 lakhs. Diamond Harbour Road Drainage Location : Length of DH Road passing through South Suburban municipal area now merged with KMC. Objective : Removal of waterlogging in areas adjoining DH Road. Completion cost : Rs 91 lakhs. Howrah Drainage Improvement Location: Different areas of HMC. Objective: Removal of drainage congestion. Completion cost: Rs 134 lakhs. G T Road Drainage Location : Localities adjoining GT road within HMC area. Objective : Provision of underground drainage facilities to reduce the incidence of waterlogging in the command area. Completion cost : Rs 320 lakhs. Sewerage for Howrah Location: Howrah Municipal area. Objective: Provision of underground sewerage through construction of out fall sewers, intercepting sewers, sewerage treatment plant and associated items. Completion cost: Rs 689 lakhs. Re-modeling and Improvement of Kolkata Drainage Outfall, Phase-I & II Location : The main drainage outfall of Kolkata connecting different pumping stations at Palmer Bridge, Dhapa Lock, Topsia and Bullygunge with the river Kulti. Objective : Removal of water logging in Kolkata through enhanced discharge of storm water into the outfall that had been heavily silted. Completion cost : Rs 437 lakhs. Howrah Drainage Channel Location : The municipal town of Howrah. Objective : Quicker discharge of drainage run-off from the fast growing areas in Howrah. Completion cost : Rs 170 lakhs. Improvement of Tollygunge Panchannagram Drainage Location : Southeastern fringe of Kolkata. Objective : Quicker discharge of drainage run-off from the fast growing Tollygunge areas. Restoration of Trunk Sewer System in Kolkata Location: Different areas within Kolkata city. Objective: Retention of capacity of the existing sewers so as to facilitate disposal of both dry weather flow and storm run-off in Kolkata city. Estimated completion cost: Rs 1,319 lakh. (KMDA's share limited to Rs 200 lakh, with the balance to be provided by KMC.) Bangur Avenue Sewerage Location: Bangur area within South Dum Dum Municipality. Objective: Removal of drainage congestion in areas adjoining Bangur Avenue. Estimated completion cost: Rs 124 lakh. Additional Pump at Chowbhaga Location: Chowbhaga Pumping Station on the eastern fringe of Kolkata city. Objective: Quicker disposal of storm run-off in certain parts of Kolkata city. Estimated completion cost: Rs 139 lakh. Storm Water Drainage Schemes in HMC area Location: Municipal Ward Nos. 1-16. Objective: Reduction of waterlogging in the concerned municipal wards.
