Objective : Providing more equitable distribution of water supply.

Emergency Water Supply Scheme, Phase-I, II & III
Location : Different parts of municipal and non-municipal areas within KMA.
Objective : Provision of potable water supply not exceeding 20 gpcd through construction of deep tube-wells and distribution lines in both municipal areas and fast growing non-municipal areas within Kolkata Metropolitan Area (KMA), where the water crisis had been relatively pronounced.
Cost : Rs. 1,064 lakh.

Schemes for Augmentation of Municipal Water Supply
Location : The municipal towns of Kanchrapara, Halisahar, Bhatpara, Garulia, North Dum Dum, Dum Dum, South Dum Dum, Baranagore, Kamarhati, Garden Reach, South Suburban, Budge Budge, Bansberia, Chandannagar, Konnagar.
Objective : Provision of piped water supply through ground water sources, after the spell of emergency response was over.
Cost : Rs. 825 lakh.

Fringe Area Water Supply Scheme (FAWS)
Location : Different non-municipal urban areas in the fringes of existing towns.
Objective : Provision of piped water supply through ground water sources.
Cost : Rs. 834 lakh.

Primary & Secondary Grids in Garden Reach
Location : Different areas in South Howrah.
Objective : Upgradation of distribution network so as to make use of the supply from the Howrah water treatment plant.
Cost : Rs. 901 lakh.

Boosting station at Md. Ali Park
Location : Central Kolkata.
Objective : Boosting of pressure of water so as to ensure a more equitable distribution of water in the city and also to augment supply in certain areas in the west of Central Kolkata
Cost : Rs. 729 lakh.
